Sustainability Pledge

Cisilion is committed to reducing our impact on the environment and achieving our goal of becoming net zero by 2050.

We are proud to monitor our carbon reduction performance in line with the GHG Reporting Protocol. In partnering with Blue Marble, we have been able to assess our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to identify the most impactful ways of reducing our carbon footprint, using FY22 as our baseline year.

Diversity, Equality & Inclusion

We recognise our ability to influence the narrative of the future workforce. While we do not currently measure our pay gap, our technical roles are banded on ability and individuals of all genders and background working at that level, earn the same.

We are fortunate to have key female business leaders at Cisilion, all of which are passionate about impacting the future and leading grassroots projects to introduce more women and girls to the IT space. On an annual basis, our female leaders attend the CRN Women in Tech conference to gain more ideas and perspectives on how we can attract more women to our space, as well as getting our females workforce together on a regular basis to identify ways in which we can cater more to all genders as a business.

Through our approach of 360 feedback against our Employee Engagement practices, we aim to celebrate as many of our diverse groups as possible. We are a proud LGBTQIA+ Supporting Employer and a Disability Confident Employer. In addition, we are a Living Wage Employer which enables us to focus on ways to reduce economic inequality. 

Working with the Community

Cisilion volunteer time to assist local children and young people with career supporting activities such as mock interviews, CV writing and job platform training. These initiatives are focused on disadvantaged individuals to provide future job opportunities.

Local Employment Opportunities

Wherever possible, we recruit project-based employees from the local vicinity. We work with local recruitment agencies and Job Centres to ensure we are giving opportunities to local unemployed people wherever possible.

Any employees who are hired as part of a social value project will have access to the full spectrum of health and wellbeing services provided by Cisilion and our partners with an aim to enhancing the wellbeing of local communities.

We demonstrate a commitment to governance practices within our business operations with a forward-thinking perspective. This entails staying ahead in evolving regulatory landscapes, expectations and potential risks, advocating for a culture which encompasses sustainability and ethical values.

Our structure places emphasis on sustainability and our commitment to advancing societal wellbeing and environmental conservation, evident in our pledge to net-zero emissions.

We are dedicated to delivering against our ESG strategy and beyond, with a focus on B-Corp and exceeding our Carbon Reduction goal.

Our Sustainability Initiatives

We recognise that we have a responsibility to act, and take decisions that will support a sustainable, low carbon future. Our commitment to the environment extends to our customers, communities, employees, and suppliers.

Employee Initiatives

We offer both a Cycle Scheme and Ride to Work to give employees access to affordable and top of the range bicycles and bicycle equipment. We are also partners of the electric vehicle leasing company Loveelectric, providing our employees with easy-access and affordable carbon reduction solutions, with electric charging points at our offices.

Zero Waste

Cisilion aim to support our Clients, Employees and Supply chain in our zero-waste goal. We work with our partners such as DocuSign and Suez to ensure our waste is either eliminated where possible, recycled or re-used.

We are proud to be partnered with KOcycle on our contribution to the circular economy, committed to ensuring redundant IT assets can be re-purposed globally, supporting our customers with their redundant IT kit.

Offsetting Journey

We are proud to be partnered with Ecologi, for each new starter, we plant a grove of trees to build the Cisilion forest. In addition, for every attendee at a Client Event, we will also plant a grove of trees.

We will continue to explore the more robust offsetting projects in conjunction with Ecologi.

Reducing Energy

As a cloud-first organisation, we support our clients with digital transformation through migration and adoption of cloud services. We are proud to have seen the biggest ever shift and up-take of cloud-based services, further helping to reduce the consumption of energy through the reduced use of traditional data centres across our customer base.

Carbon Footprint

We have partnered with Blue Marble, a Planet Impact Management organisation to assist us in calculating our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions each year, analysing the data and identifying future opportunities for our carbon reduction plan.
