A M365 Copilot Roundtable uncovering Business Value
Last week, myself and the Cisilion team had the incredible opportunity to host a Microsoft 365 Copilot roundtable with the senior executive team at The Construction Industry Training Board also known as CITB. The session was centred around exploring high-value use cases and the transformative potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Art of the Possible
The team was absolutely captivated by the “art of the possible” functionality in Copilot and what the investment in the Microsoft 365 stack brings. We delved into Copilot Chat, highlighting how it is now available in some of the M365 E-bundle licenses. The discussion also covered the innovative use of Copilot agents, which are designed to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Creating a Live Agent
One of the key highlights was the creation of a live agent specifically for CITB. This agent demonstrated how Copilot can be tailored to meet the unique needs of an organization, providing real-time assistance, and enhancing user experience. We plugged in External sources as well as internal content to showcase the interactions one can have with these types of agents.
Video Enablement of Visual Creator
We also explored the video enablement of the Visual Creator, a new feature enabled in Copilot that allows users to create engaging visual content effortlessly with a simple prompt. This tool empowers users to produce high-quality videos for presentations, training, and marketing, enhancing communication and engagement.
Microsoft’s Commitment to Safe, Secure, and Responsible AI
A significant part of our discussion was Microsoft’s commitment to safe, secure, and responsible AI. We emphasized the importance of ethical AI practices and how Microsoft ensures that its AI technologies are developed and deployed responsibly, prioritizing user privacy as well as addressing data security concerns.
Features to Improve Personal Productivity
We highlighted several “hero” features designed to improve personal productivity across Microsoft 365. These features include intelligent scheduling, task automation, and personalized insights, all aimed at helping users work smarter and achieve more.
Examples from Customers
We shared inspiring examples from customers who have successfully integrated Microsoft 365 Copilot into their workflows. These real-world use cases demonstrated the tangible benefits of Copilot, from increased efficiency to enhanced collaboration and innovation.
Interactive Activity
To provide a practical perspective, we conducted a “Day in the Life” activity, showcasing how Copilot seamlessly integrates into daily tasks. This activity illustrated how Copilot can assist with everything from managing emails and scheduling meetings to generating reports and analysing data. The CITB got a chance to jot down their very own use cases.
Accessibility within Microsoft 365 Copilot
We also discussed the importance of accessibility within Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft is committed to ensuring that its tools are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. Copilot includes features such as voice commands, screen reader compatibility, and customizable interfaces to support diverse user needs. And as ever the global reach of Translation and how this is a game changer for wider accessibility.
Autonomous Agents
Another exciting topic was the use of autonomous agents within Copilot. These agents can perform tasks independently, such as scheduling meetings, sending reminders, and even generating content. This automation frees up valuable time for users, allowing them to focus on more strategic activities. We also went through Third Party connectors and how these plug ins can potentially transform current ways of working.

The value of these roundtables cannot be overstated. They provide a platform for in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and the exploration of cutting-edge technologies.
